Bring the Professionals Into the Classroom

If a student is interested in running a dentist office, have him talk to a Dental insurance plans coordinator. If a kid wants to sell furniture, spend a day talking to a Casual furniture salesman or if he wants to make Toasters, go to a toaster manufacturer. I believe the best way to teach is to expose students to real life subject matter experts in their field. The key is to engage students with the people that are doing the real work, so they get real answers. True learning comes from interaction.
